ABOUT LEARNING CONNECTION

Learning Connection, Inc., originally the Providence Learning Connection, was started in July 1981, to provide an opportunity for people in the community to learn easily and inexpensively from others with skills and knowledge to share. Today, Learning Connection is a statewide learning network that offers a wide variety of short courses, trips, seminars, and programs designed to give adults an opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills. In addition, Learning Connection has become a leader in the field of individual and corporate training.

Recognized as one of the country’s leading community-based adult education programs, Learning Connection is known for its ability to respond quickly to educational trends, offering innovative, quality programs that make learning fun. Since its inception, Learning Connection has remained committed to the philosophy that inexpensive, community-based education enriches the life of the community and the people who live there. Learning Connection has been recognized through an international award as one of the best managed learning programs in the world.

Learning Connection is supported by class registrations, membership fees, special events, and contract training. The program currently serves approximately 12,000 students per year. Our catalogs are printed bi-monthly and are distributed throughout RI, MA, and CT by direct mall; targeted street drops and local newspapers.
